Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using HeyDonna ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
HeyDonna provides AI-powered transcript editing software specifically designed for court reporters and legal transcriptionists. The Service includes:
- Audio file upload and processing
- AI-assisted transcription
- Real-time collaborative editing
- Court-specific formatting tools
- Export capabilities in various legal formats
3. Beta Program Terms
During our public beta phase:
- Access is open to all users during public beta
- Features may change without notice
- Service interruptions may occur for updates
- Beta users agree to provide feedback and bug reports
- Pricing may change after beta period ends
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and current
Free signup credits and device checks
To prevent free-credit abuse, we use device fingerprinting after signup acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy, without a separate device-check checkbox. The automatic free grant is limited to one per browser. For visitors in the European Union or United Kingdom, or whose region is unknown, we do not load the fingerprinting library or collect a fingerprint. Accounts are created normally; contact support for review of free-credit eligibility. Elsewhere, including the United States, the device check follows signup acceptance. An unavailable check or a match may withhold automatic free credits, but does not prevent account creation or paid credit purchases. Shared browsers can cause mistakes; support can review and correct a withheld grant. Browser attributes stay in memory; only protected hashes are retained for 180 days, with no sharing with a fingerprinting vendor.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload content that violates any court orders or protective orders
- Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
- Share your account with unauthorized users
- Use the Service to process non-legal transcription work during beta
- Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
6. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain all rights to the transcripts and audio files you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the Service.
Where you have opted in via your account privacy settings, you additionally grant HeyDonna a limited, revocable license to use anonymized behavioral data derived from your editing sessions — such as feature usage patterns and correction frequencies — solely to improve our AI models. Transcript text, audio content, and any personally identifiable information are expressly excluded from this license. This license terminates automatically when you withdraw consent.
Our Technology
The Service, including its AI models, software, and user interface, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service.
